Doug & FocalPoint Coaching

Doug chose FocalPoint because of its formidable coaching process developed by Brian Tracy, a recognized leader in personal achievement and business performance. Doug’s business expertise combined with Brian Tracy’s proven coaching methods produce outstanding value to Doug’s clients.  The process assists, guides and challenges Doug’s clients in reaching their ultimate business goals. It builds more confidence and control for the business leader while generating a positive impact on the bottom line.

In the Business World

Doug feels fortunate to have worked for first rate organizations with superior management and best practices.  Early in his career he was recruited into the complex world of technical sales, first by IBM and then later by Xerox. Doug drove consistent success with innovative “think outside the box” strategies and sharpened his skills in consultative selling, sales process and relationship management.

Doug was recruited by Save the Children to bring his commercial business development expertise to a large non-profit where he built high performing teams and broke fundraising records in his focus areas. He was promoted to Save the Children’s senior management team and was enlisted to support the organization’s global leadership training program where he acted as a co-facilitator and executive coach. Doug’s corporate experience is balanced with two decades of small business management expertise as co-owner of his wife’s political fundraising business. Doug helped establish, develop and grow this business into what is now one of the premier political fundraising firms in Southern California.

Doug graduated from California Polytechnic University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and currently sits on the industry advisory board for the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department.
