Jump-Start Your Goals with Mindstorming

One of the most powerful ways to start achieving your goals quickly is by working with both your conscious and superconscious minds. If you have been writing down your goals daily with positive and personal statements, then it has been imprinted into your subconscious. Your subconscious mind then moves it over to your superconscious, where it will work to solve your problems 24/7.

To get your superconscious and conscious minds working together in what is called the Mindstorming Method, there are four steps that you need to take:

Write your top goal as a question

You have already been writing your goals down as positive statements. Now, choose your most important goal and write it in the form of a question. For example, if your goal is to get your Master’s degree, you might ask: “How can I get my Master’s degree without sacrificing too much of my time at work and home?”

More is Better

Write down at least 20 answers. Allow yourself to answer this question in a stream of consciousness manner.
Do not pause to analyze or evaluate your answers. You may find that your mind stalls after 10 or 15 answers. Keep going. It has been found that the most valuable ideas are in the last few answers to your question. Perhaps this is because your superconscious mind is kicking in.

Review and Choose

Review your answers. Be open but critical as you look over your answers. Choose the answer that you think can have the most positive impact on your path to success.

Do It Now

Take action immediately. Once you have chosen your most valuable answer, get to work on it right away.

The Mindstorming Method can be applied to problems as well as goals. It is one of the most powerful tools you can use to achieve more in your work and in life. It might seem simple, and it is, but that does not make it any less effective.

Make time to utilize mindstorming regularly. Soon, writing down 20 answers to your questions will come easily. Just be persistent and once your conscious mind has reached its limits, that is when your superconscious will step in and assist you with its own valuable contributions.
